Myopia Management

 The myopia management therapies at our office include:

1) Spectacle (glasses) lenses - Therapeutic lenses such as MiyoSmart, Stellest and MyCon lenses are safe and non-invasive options for slowing myopia progression when worn throughout the day.

2) Daily soft contact lenses - Misight1 day contact lenses. Approved by Health Canada to slow down the progression of myopia in children. This is an excellent option for children who maintain an active lifestyle.

3) Pharmacological treatment - Low dose atropine - this has been proven to reduce the rate of progression by slowing the growth of the eye. The eye drops are prescribed by your doctor and taken once per day at night before bedtime.
